Biography

John F. McCaul has been fighting for individuals injured by the negligence or intentional acts of others his entire legal career. John joined Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell & Lupin after a distinguished career as a prosecutor with the Chester County District Attorney’s Office. He primarily focuses his practice on medical malpractice, catastrophic personal injury, victims of crime, sexual assault and institutional abuse, motor vehicle accidents and premises liability.

John has, from day one, fought for those who were seriously hurt or killed by the actions or inaction of others. He relishes the opportunity to champion the cause for injured victims and their families and to be the voice for those who cannot advocate for themselves. In his time as a prosecutor, John handled some of the most complicated cases and prosecuted the most dangerous offenders. He has obtained justice for some of the most vulnerable members of society and held the “worst-of-the-worst” accountable for their misdeeds. A prosecutor’s prosecutor, John rose through the ranks to become a senior courtroom attorney as well as the supervisor of the County’s Investigating and Indicting Grand Juries in short order. Before leaving prosecution, John was cross-designated as a Special Assistant United States Attorney (SAUSA) with the United States Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

John applies the mindset and skillset from his days as a prosecutor to his practice as a personal injury attorney, zealously advocating for those who have been catastrophically injured or even killed by the negligent, intentional or criminal acts of others. He realizes that negligence or criminal events effect more than just the injured person as, often times, family members and loved ones suffer too. This is why John leaves no stone unturned when investigating and prosecuting the wrongful acts of others to find the truth. This tenacity positively impacts his clients’ ability to maximize their recovery and seek justice for those who must be held accountable. John prides himself on having a reputation as a tireless advocate who prepares for and strategizes at every step of litigation.
